Loop Technology: Enhancing Hearing Aids in Public Facilities
The American Academy of Audiology and the Hearing Loss Association of America have come together to advocate for the use of hearing loops with hearing aids. These systems are commonly found in public facilities such as churches and theaters turning hearing aids into personal loud speakers. 
Oticon Hearing Aids: Supporting Breast Cancer Research
In October, Oticon will launch - Pink with a Purpose - to introduce the Oticon Agil Think Pink hearing aid. During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oticon will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the special edition Agil Think Pink and all Agil hearing aids to the National Breast Cancer Coalition to support breast cancer research. ![]()
Cochlear Implants For Children: Status Not Associated With Access
A new reports shows that poor children with hearing loss appear to have equal access to cochlear implants, but have more complications and worse compliance with follow-up regimens than children with higher socioeconomic status.
Hearing Loss Causes: Aspirin, Tylenol, & Advil with NSAIDs
A new study suggests that regular use of analgesics such as aspirin, Tylenol and Advil along with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) by men under the age of 60 could be ototoxic, which means they could cause hearing loss.
